Christmas in July sale coming soon!

These are just 2 of the latest custom orders I did yesterday. Getting to design your own piece is fun, and you can create a design that expresses your personality!

I wanted to change out my July 4th post, but I really am not ready to reveal my newest creation. It's coming soon though! All I can say is that it is something I have never done before, and will be perfect for Christmas. I'm planning to leave for Colorado on Friday for the weekend. I'll be back Monday if everything goes well. When I get back I'll plan a give-away, and a fun to do about this new addition. I'll also do a "Christmas in July" sale. So keep an eye out for that too.

Hope you all had a fabulous Fourth!

Hugs,
Lori

Have a safe and fun Fourth of July!

I love America! I'm proud of my country. I'm sad to see it changing soo quickly, and not for the good. I'm glad I still have the freedom to speak my mind, and stand up for what I believe in. This country is great, but it was only great because we loved God, and put Him first. Our country was founded because of Him. Our history is being changed if not erased all together. You have the right to disagree, but what you do not have is the right to think your opinion is worth more than someone else's. We are all equal in the sight of God, and will answer to Him for our thoughts and actions. It will be a sad day if we ever lose that right that was what soo many men and women died for. We are still free. Stand up for what you believe and do not be afraid if it's not popular. I'm so tired of seeing people bow down and sacrifice their rights just because the other voices are louder, more popular, or "politically correct." They are not the only voice in America! Stand for truth! Stand for Freedom! Most importantly, stand with God! I still think America's the best country in the world, and that God has blessed us beyond anything we deserve.
I'm adding a video for you. It really touched me, and made me even more proud to be an American. I hope you enjoy it, and have a wonderful, safe Fourth of July.

Sheer Bijou~ The Diaphanous Collection

"Isabelle"{sold}
"Sheer Bijou" ~ The Diaphanous Collection
"Sophia"
"Josette"
"Iris"
"Emma"
"Gracie"
"Elise"
"Dorothy"
"Ruby"
"Bella"
"Anna"
I love French words. It just makes anything sound better. Bijou means "jewel" which is just so beautiful to me. On our quick little trip to Paris last year, this guy was obviously angry at another guy and was letting him have it. I didn't care. It sounded like he was telling a love story. I really do think it's a beautiful language and culture. If you're in the good areas, of course. On the train there, I thought someone had planned an elaborate hoax to the world about Paris. It was filthy, ugly, very graffitied, and looked run down. Then, like magic, it starts to morph into a beautiful landscape and glittering lights. What a great city.
This new line of jewelry is completely different than anything I've ever made before. The name "Sheer Bijou" suggests you can see through it. That's exactly what it is-completely see through. I used antique jewelry, buttons, broches etc. on the outside of the glass instead of in it. I buy a lot of estate sale/antique jewelry that is too large to go under glass, but that I've always wanted to use. Here's my answer to that dilema. What's really amazing about it is how it goes with everything. Whatever you have on, it's going to show through the glass.
Each one has a beautiful name that's either French or classic.

Have a fabulous week!

More Mother's Day designs...

I have added some new designs here for Mother's Day. Yes, I know it's tomorrow, but I am having a sale as most of you on facebook know. It is for everyone, and it is 25% off of everything in my "shops." That includes my website, blog, etsy store, and facebook. Any order, even gift certificates apply. You only have today and tomorrow though, so for all you last minute shoppers, this is for you. Photo necklaces are a breeze to order. You email me the photos you'd like used, and I do the rest. I have a sample of a custom family photo pendant here. Your order will come custom wrapped in a decorative tin. Missed Mother's Day? Plan ahead and order for birthdays, graduations, even Christmas. It takes about one week for custom orders not including time for shipping. I always ship priority at no extra charge.
I really want to wish all the Moms a very happy, lovely Mother's Day. I'm so thankful for my sweet Mom and for all she means to me. She's a gracious, Southern, Christian woman, and I'm so very blessed to have her as my Mom. I love you Mom!

Warm hugs,
Lori

New designs just in time for Mother's Day!

Here are a few new designs I have ready that would make some great Mother's Day presents. The most sentimental thing you could get her is probably a photo necklace or bracelet. If you hurry, you can still get an order for one in time for Mother's Day. Email me the photos you would like used and I can re size, change to black & white, or sepia. The Bingo bracelet would also be great as a photo bracelet. It could hold up to 10 photos that are 1" square each. Price would be 75.00.
The roses are original watercolor paintings by Sonya Thompson, my sister. Each one is a miniature, hand-painted, one-of-a-kind piece of art.
The Queen stamp is an original vintage stamp from the U.K. It has sheet music on reverse and dangle, chandelier crystal charm.
These pieces and many more new designs will be on display in Defuniak Springs, Florida, tomorrow May 2nd for the Spring Fling Show. If you see a piece you would like, email me for pricing information.
Plan now for a one-of-a-kind Mother's Day gift that she will remember always.

Hugs to you,
Lori
